No. Gardening with God welcomes people from all backgrounds, beliefs, and levels of experience. Our aim is to provide accurate information, encourage thoughtful discussion, and create a welcoming environment for learning and growth.

No, we do not want to pressure anyone into adopting a particular belief. Throughout the course, we discuss both gardening and Christianity, drawing from reputable sources.

While we may share some of our own experiences with Christianity, we encourage participants to explore the topics with curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to ask questions before reaching their own conclusions.

What grows from there is a journey that each person must take for themselves. As we often say, "We plant the seeds. The decisions are yours."

Gardening with God has three simple goals:

1. To help people grow healthy gardens and respect our planet. 2. To help people grow meaningful friendships, wisdom, and discernment. 3. To help people grow a better understanding of what Christianity actually teaches.

Through gardening, regenerative agriculture, medicinal plants, and thoughtful discussion, we encourage participants to ask questions, explore evidence, and examine many of the biblical teachings that are commonly misunderstood or taken out of context.

Yes and No. Gardening with God is an independent educational program created and hosted by local Christians who share a passion for gardening, stewardship, learning and faith. Participants from all faith backgrounds — and those with no faith background at all — are welcome to attend.

That being said, word gets out, and we do have some churches interested in adding GWG to their connection group offerings. For this reason, registration may often switch from our website to the hosting church's administration team.

This in no way obligates you to join any church, nor does it prevent you from attending GWG if you are not a member of the current church registrar.

We do caution that registering with any church MAY add you to their eMail marketing lists, where a simple "unsubscribe" will alleviate any unwanted communications.

We also caution that you may discover things you never knew about church and may actually WANT to become a member of the hosting church. As always, we here at GWG simply plant the seeds and step back to let YOU make your own decisions.

Not at all. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or have never planted a seed, you'll find something to enjoy and learn.

Yes. Many sessions include demonstrations, tastings, garden walks, plant identification, and other interactive activities related to gardening, medicinal plants, pollinators, stewardship, and wellness.

Participation is encouraged but never required. Some activities are conducted outdoors and may involve walking on uneven terrain.

At present, there is no charge to attend. As long as the program remains sustainable, we hope to continue offering it free of charge.

Classes are held at a private residence in West Melbourne, Florida. To protect the privacy and security of participants and hosts, the address is provided upon registration confirmation.

Class size is limited to encourage meaningful discussion and hands-on learning. Registration also helps us communicate logistics, updates, and prepare materials for participants.

A three-ring binder, comfortable clothing, shoes appropriate for occasionally walking outdoors on gravel / uneven ground, and a willingness to learn. Sun protection and insect repellent are also recommended.

Topics include gardening fundamentals, regenerative agriculture, pollinator habitats, medicinal plants, healing and wellness, stewardship, forgiveness, gratitude, transformation, and faith.

Most of the sessions are indoors, however, some sessions include outdoor demonstrations and activities. Participants should be prepared for typical Florida weather conditions and uneven outdoor terrain.

Yes. Because Gardening with God is rooted in Christian teachings, we often end sessions with a brief prayer.

Participation is always voluntary. Attendees are welcome to listen quietly, reflect, or simply observe. No one is ever expected to pray aloud or participate beyond their comfort level.

Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where people of all backgrounds feel respected while learning together.
